Fitness Week 16

Well this week was a doosy!! My allergies are giving me a real problem and i've been overly exhausted this week.

I can't seem to allow myself to rest either.  Even though I've developed a tender Achilles' tendon.

I've really got to work on my competitive nature :)
Plus Little Miss is teething, so her sleep isn't solid either.

Have you been reading my book reviews. I've really been enjoying all the books I've gotten from the library.

Oh how I love the Library.

I'm currently reading Hungry For Change. I will be watching the documentary soon, but the whole premise of the book is so interesting.

Are there any books that have changed your outlook on health and fitness?

Wednesday: 30 minute yoga, 3 mile walk

  1. The documentary was really good! I will definitely look for the book! Unfortunately I haven't been reading much since I started blogging, but I heard that the book Wheat Belly is supposed to be really good. Have a great weekend!

  3. I need to do more speed work. I actually enjoy doing it on the treadmill. Like I've already said I really need to read some of these books you have been posting about.

  4. I am also stealing your interval run for this week, especially since it WON'T STOP RAINING here!! And pollen is seriously the devil!! I hope you feel better soon girlfriend.

As for books, I need to read over your reviews again for something new. I think I told you on Twitter about my love of Michael Pollen and his book "In Defense of Food" has totally changed me. His 3 rules of "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants" is like my new modo. Oh if only I could resist the damn chocolate!!! But that comes from a plant technically, right? Ha!

  5. no books, but we just watched Forks over knives a few weeks ago, and since then have tried to adopt a much healthier eating habit in our home with little room for garbage in our bodies. its a good feeling, not buying hardly anything from the center of the grocery store.. =)

    1. I've been meaning to watch that movie. I've heard loads of good things. I like that thought of only shopping the perimeter.
      Thanks Julie
