This has been such a quick week! Its always nice with Hubby gets a day off and can spend dome time at home. We finished our coffee bar. I can't wait to get more Nespresso shots.
And of course:
Miss Lilly turned 4 months on Wednesday
And yesterday she popped a tooth through!
She is in the running (of 300,000 others) for the Gerber campaign on Facebook. So if you feel so inclined please vote:)
I've had a tough week realizing once again that I can't please everyone. I've mentioned before on this blog of mine about the wonderful women that I have met through meetup.com. Well just when you think "Okay, I'm 25(or whatever) I'm ready to meet quality people," someone goes and creates drama. I seriously think that I have a virus that prevent women from being my friend.
Okay a bit of a pity party here.
Then I lost two followers.
Does that really matter?
No, but it adds to my insecurities that I'm doing something wrong.
And maybe I am, but I have to remember that I'm not everyone's cup of tea.
Its hard for me to let go of the fact that I can't be everyone's friend.
In Sunday school they taught you that you have to be everyone's friend.
I didn't learn until out of college that you don't.
Some people are toxic.
Well I'm venting because deep down it hurts when you try to be kind and it isn't enough for someone.
I have to remember that I don't want to be in those relationships because they can be toxic and full of drama.
I am grateful though.
I have met quality people. I like that when Lilly grows up, she will have some friends of her own.
Which also scares me too. Its the only thing I cried about while pregnant: that she would be treated unkindly by female peers.
Why are we so ruthless? So unkind?
Hey we all make mistakes. I'm prone to shouting during a frustrating talk (I've worked very hard to not have a temper). But I ALWAYS make sure to say sorry if I'm in the wrong.
Which every fight I believe you can apologize for something.
Why can't we admit we are wrong?
Well that is what I worked on this week. I'll take it with me while doing the She Reads Truth bible study.
And any new reader out there, don't feel obligated to follow, but do feel obligated to click on the picture of Lilly and vote :)
